Book Talk | Plum Lucky: A Stephanie Plum Between-the-Numbers Novel

Image
Happy St. Patrick's Day Ya'll! I was waiting to read this Stephanie Plum book to be closer to St. Patrick's Day to get into the St. Patrick mood. I really enjoy reading the between-the-numbers books from this series because they feel a little different from our non-holiday-esque books. I'll talk more about this later in the blog. Anyways, let's talk Plum Lucky by Janet Evanovich. About the Author Janet Evanovich has been and still is a #1 New York Times bestseller for multiple books she has put out over the years. Her first installment of the Stephanie Plum series is called  One for the Money , which was released in 1994 (the year before I was born), and is still going with  Dirty Thirty,  the 34th book in the series.  Fearless Fourteen  is the 17th book in the Stephanie Plum series (including the Holiday specials) which came out in June 2008.  If you haven't heard of the Stephanie Plum series, it is basically about a young, bounty hunter from New Je...

Book Review: Lean Mean Thirteen (Stephanie Plum Series)

Hey Ya'll!  I'm back with another review of one of my favorite authors and series. I understand it's going to take me until my death bed to read this whole series, but there are so many books I want to read in the world and so little time to read them all. For those that are new, I've been reading this series since I was about 16ish years old and it's taken me this long to get to 13 (technically 15 since there are 2 holiday books). But enough of my babbling, onto the review!   About the Author Janet Evanovich has been and still is a #1 New York Times best seller for multiple books she has put out over the years. Her first installment of the Stephanie Plum series is called One for the Money , which was released in 1994 (the year before I was born), and is still going with Going Rogue , the 29th book in the series. If you haven't heard of the Stephanie Plum series, it is basically about a young, bounty hunter from New Jersey just wanting to pay her rent and n...

Book Review: Big Ten Ones by Janet Evanovich

Image
Hey fellow book lovers! It has been a minute since I have reviewed or even read a Janet Evanovich book. If you are new to my blog, I am a big Janet/Stephanie Plum fan. I have been reading this series for years now and I'm only on the 10th book (technically 11th since I read a Christmas special book). I've been reading a lot of different books by various authors, but there's just something about the winter season that makes me want to read some more Stephanie Plum. Here is my full review on  Big Ten Ones  by Janet Evanovich. A Little Bit of Background  Janet Evanovich  is a New York Times Best Selling author for plenty of her works. Her Stephanie Plum series started back in 1994. This book came out in 2004 and follows directly after the 9th book and Christmas special.  This time, our heroine faces a notorious gang in Trenton who wants her dead. Morelli warns that she's in too deep, and Stephanie more than agrees. But the gang won't let her bow out. Wit...

Hello everyone! So I re-read this book for the Christmas season. This was actually my first Stephanie Plum novel that I ever read. Love, love, LOVE the Stephanie Plum series, it's got to be one of my favorites. I've been slowing down on reading more of the series, so that I can write reviews on other books, but glad I went back to read this Christmas classic. Here is my review. SPOILER ALERT! Rainy Conversations with Author Janet Evanovich

Image
Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday weekend! I was so excited when I got an email back from Janet's assistant about answering my interview questions! I wish we would have had a more personal conversation, but I know she is probably a busy lady. I'm just glad she was able to take the time answer some questions that I had, she is my favourite author after all! Read the full interview below and enjoy. Photo Courtesy from Jerrilynnledford.com How did you get into writing? After I got a college degree in art, I discovered that I was allergic to the pigments in paint, so there went that idea.  I'd been making up stories ever since I was a child.  When my kids were little, I decided to see if I could write a book.  It took me three manuscripts and 10 years before I finally got published. Who would you say is your favorite character you have ever written, so far? I would have to say it would be Grandma Mazur, who, by the way, was inspired by my own Aunt Len...

Hi everyone! Hope all is going well! I mean to do this book review earlier, but as all things in life goes, nothing went according to plan. I just graduated and I've been crazy busy with work! I actually just got back from a small get-away (will be writing about it next week...at least that's what I'm planning!), so I have a day to actually relax and write some this book review. Now, this book is co-written by one of my favorite author's, Janet Evanovich, so when my fiance spotted it at the Dollar Tree, I knew it was a gem. Now onto the review! (SPOILER ALERT!) If you would like to look at those, here is the link to one and two . A little bit about Janet, she has been publishing books since the early 90's. Her most famous series, and my favorite, is the Stephanie Plum series that is still in continuation. She ...

My second review on the Stephanie Plum series by author Janet Evanovich . I know it's a week past my usual monthly deadline, but I had so much stuff to do this month school wise! I was nominated for top 5 best capstone (senior project) so I had to do a whole presentation in front of a bunch of people! It was scary, but I made it through. I'm actually turning my senior project into a book (stay tuned for that!). Anyways, enough with my update! Let's get on to the review!
