 Hey Ya'll! My husband and I are back from another trip and not just any trip, but our babymoon! Yes, I am one of those people who took a trip and called it a babymoon. To be honest, this is probably our last trip for a while, which kind of makes me sad but at the same time, I'm excited for future trips with our baby girl. So on today's blog post, I really just want to talk a bit about Laguna and traveling as a preggo person in general. Laguna Beach, California The Laguna Beach area sits in between LA and San Diego and is part of Orange County. Some may say, why Laguna? Well, I knew that at this point in my pregnancy, I wanted somewhere that was lowkey, but still popping, somewhere with a nice beach, and I wanted the whole trip to not break the bank.  Hey Ya'll! My husband and I recently came back from a trip from the great northern land of Toronto Canada. I feel that Canada isn't really one of those places you would think of to travel to, especially for those of us living on the complete opposite parts of the states. We chose Canada because we were trying for a baby and when things weren't happening right away, I figured we could book a trip, but some place not too far. Then, Canada came to mind when I remembered that one of my husband's bucket list items was to experience Niagara Falls. I figured if I did become pregnant, it would be a place that where I could speak the same language to a doctor if something was wrong, I could drink the tap water, and I wouldn't have to be on a plane for super long or have jet lag.  Five years ago, my husband and I celebrated our honeymoon by taking our first international trip to Japan. Five years later, it's still the magical place that leaves me yearning for more. Last time we went to Japan, we mainly stayed in Tokyo, besides a day trip to Lake Kawaguchiko to see the world-renowned Mount Fuji. This time, we started our trip in Osaka, then Kyoto, then Lake Kawaguchiko, climbed Mount Fuji, and ended the trip in Tokyo. Here's how it all went.  The trip started when I just so happened to wake up at 4am on Thursday, 4 hours before our flight I received a text saying that our plane was delayed due to a technical issue and we would be put on a whole different flight path. Our 17 hour travel day quickly and horribly turned into a 26 hour travel day. If hell is a place, it's a 26 hour day with a never ending flight while you're still battling a sinus infection and you only sleep for one hour tops. By the time this blog post comes out, it'll be 2020. It's crazy to think I am 24 years old living in my 4th decade. It's also crazy to think that another year has come and gone. Well here's my short and sweet year in review! First Thoughts My first thoughts of the year, I'm not going to lie, 2018 was pretty much my year. 2019 wasn't that bad though. A lot of fun and exciting things happened this year. I traveled to Chicago with my love for the first time, went to Las Vegas again with family, started a pretty great job that I love, adopted our dog Ollie, and purchased our first house on Valentine's day. Not to mention that we now have two new nephews, and we saw my favorite band Vampire weekend for the first time with their brand new album after 6ish years! Hello everyone! It's been a while since I wrote something not book related. It's just been a busy month. And, as some of you may know, I went on a two-part trip recently. First 4 days in Chicago and last 4 days in Vegas. Here's my rainy thoughts on Chicago + Vegas! Chicago My husband and I had been to Vegas multiple times. We went this year to celebrate my grandparent's 50th anniversary. I suggested we make the trip a two-parter, we thought of places we both haven't been and that's how we came up with Chicago. Now, I'm not going to lie, Chicago was never on the very top of my travel list. I always thought it would be neat, but it wasn't a super strong desire. It was a new place for me and for my husband, so I searched and Pinterested for months figuring out what to do, where to eat, where to go and we did maybe about 2 things out of the 40 things I saved.
