First off, I hope you all are doing alright. I know the world is going through so many changes right now and it's amazing and it can be intimidating and for the moments that we want to just take a break from our screens, that is the time to pick up a good book and transport yourself to a different world. That is what our book, The Key to Everything, did for me. 

Throughout the last few weeks, I have been reading this enchanting book that captured my attention and did not let me go. I was taken into 1947 Florida where things were definitely not how they are now. Reading the adventures of Peyton, I felt like I was reading a movie. Not just any movie, but a late 80's early 90's, life adventure movie like Forest Gump or Stand By Me. And I don't know about you, but I am such a sucker for those kinds of movies.

I loved the distinctly different characters that we meet with Peyton along the way and was intrigued by his open heart to all of them. Some people we meet on this journey is a drunk race car driver, an animal activist, a crazy artist and a big Cuban family. Actually, when we met the big family, it felt like my own family gatherings and made me realize that not everyone does this and I'm special enough to have this in my life and glad that Peyton was able to experience this as well. But all the characters are all so different and interesting people and I loved seeing how Peyton reacted to all of them with open arms. This was also a time when the term "stranger danger" did not really exist and it would probably not be the same if it did.

Overall, I thourghouly enjoyed reading The Key to Everything. It was a fun and exciting read that flowed very well and can hold your attention until the very end. I give this book a 5/5 stars. I am happy to put this one on my newly built shelves where other's can read this incredible and true story.
