San Antonio Coffee Shops of the Month | March
I'm back! I've been away adjusting to life with a newborn and taking care of my mental and physical health (as much as I can), so coffee shop hopping had to be put on pause for a while. I'm happy to report that I'm back and ready to grab some good drinks a nice croissant.
On another note, I'm on a new platform! I'll be updating my original blog for a while, but you can also catch me on Substack. I feel like a lot of bloggers are heading to there. I don't plan to put a money wall on my content at the moment (I don't know why I would make you pay for reading my thoughts?) but maybe later, I don't know. But something I like about Substack is that they automatically send you emails once a new blog is up, which Blogger took away. So subscribe if you want to, or don't, either way, I'll still be writing. Anyway, check out these coffee shops!
Archies Coffee Lounge
☕ 9630 Huebner Rd Suite 101, San Antonio, TX 78240
Archies is a pretty spacious coffee spot highlighting infused coffee's and teas with CBD. Since I was pumping, I didn't get a CBD coffee this time, but I have in the past and it makes for a nice, mellow morning. Along with different drink concoctions, they also provide little breakfast bites to hold you over until lunch. I always opt for the sausage and cheese kolache and it never fails to make me happy.
There's plenty of seating in the cafe, with high tops, low tops, and communal seating set inside and some outside seating options as well. Whenever I have stopped by, it's never been terribly busy but as the morning went on, business did pick up, but it wasn't crazy.
Thirty Grind Coffee Bar
☕ 17803 La Cantera Terrace Suite 8123, San Antonio, TX 78256
Thirty Grind is a little coffee bar tucked away in the sea of apartments that make up La Cantera Terrace. It's a nice little spot with comfy chairs and a wide variety of matcha, tea, and coffee drinks. You can get your drinks with or without a little bit of bourbon or rum. They also have a small menu of morning bites and pastries to choose from. This morning, I only opted for a honey lavender cappucino and I loved the gold rimmed mug it came in.
While there were always customers coming in and out, the cafe never felt crowded or super loud.

Tend Coffee
☕ 11121 Westwood Loop suite 101, San Antonio, TX 78253
Tend is a nice-sized coffee shop that also coincides as an entrance to a church. It has a corner view with cute, little decorations and seating for a decent amount of people. When I stopped by, I ordered a caramel mocha with oat milk. The coffee went down smooth and out a pep in my step while I worked next to the big windows that don't have the greatest view, but it always feels to sit next to a window on a cloudy day.
My favorite part about this shop was the music. When I cam in, they were playing a nice jazzy, chill hop soundtrack and I was there for it. I'll happily come back just for the vibe.
