San Antonio Coffee Shops of the Month | November
Poppy's Coffee House
☕ 6417 Evers Rd, San Antonio, TX 78238
Poppy's Coffee House is a cute little (but kind of big) coffee shop in the Leon Valley area. It was actually at a place that my husband and I used to frequent but sadly didn't survive after the pandemic (RIP Leon Valley Cafe ðŸ˜). This coffee shop is located inside an actual house and is decorated in Snoopy memorabilia (which we LOVE), along with knitted cup holders, groovy colors, and different types of seating.
There are fun coffee's, teas, and other drinks to try along with some great pastries. The last time I visited, I ordered a cheese and spinach pastry with a nice cold green tea with honey. Simple, I know, but I did try their strawberry acai refresher and I wasn't a fan, mainly because it has sparkling water and I'm just not into sparkling water. Other than, I love this spot and it's a newer spot that you should visit sometime soon.
Shotgun House Coffee Roasters
☕ 1333 Buena Vista St, San Antonio, TX 78207
The very first time I went to Shotgun House Coffee, I was meeting a friend and I thought she was going to jump me or something. Upon walking in, I realized that I severely judged a book by it's cover and it's now one of my favorite spots to chill, write, read, and get a good cup of coffee or tea or wine/beer.
Shotgun is located inside a renovated, shared warehouse that provides good vibes to all who come. From the friendly staff, to the great drinks, they know how to make you feel welcomed. It's a cozy spot with a great atmosphere that provides both inside and outside seating (which I enjoy when it's not 90 degrees in October). So if you're thinking about checking out Shotgun, don't get weirded out about the vacant looking outside. Pick a spot to park and come right on in.
Also, if you sign-up to receive rewards, the owner sends some great text messages with little deals here and there.

PRESS Coffee @ The Boardwalk
☕ 4035 Broadway, San Antonio, TX 78209
PRESS Coffee is one of my guilty pleasures to visit when it's a gloomy, rainy day. Situated in a beautiful two-level greenhouse, PRESS has a way of making you feel part of the community, while giving you a cozy corner of the world to study, read, or simply be. They have a great good selection of different iced, hot, and latte teas, along with smooth coffee, and both sweet and savory pastries to get you through the day.
Since PRESS is in a green house, the cafe is almost completely see-through (which is why I love coming on a rainy day). There is seating both inside and outside the cafe and a good amount of greenery to go around. There is also another PRESS location at The Enclave. I haven't gone there yet, but let me know if you have and what you think!
