San Antonio Coffee Shops | June 2025
Bytes Café
☕ 6565 Babcock Rd Suite 22, San Antonio, TX 78249
Bytes Café is a new cyber café in San Antonio with lots of personality. First off, so much space. All the space. There are enough tables and chairs to come hang out with friends, grab matcha or coffee, and play a free board game or two. If you just want to come in and play a game on their computers or use their Switch, you can do that too. Besides the space, the shop is home to the friendliest family. They make almost everything from scratch, including their variety of treats and eats that you can purchase.
Speaking of treats, I treated myself to a lavender cold brew, and I loved it. It was not super sweet and not super milky, just the way I like it. I also had a very tasty raspberry macaroon. They also have a vinyl wall and a space dedicated to vintage Star Wars, superhero, and anime shirts. Yes, there's a lot of different things happening in this space, and I feel like the tables don't quite match the vibe, but that's okay; it's still a great experience.

R+R Collective
☕ 1010 S Flores St #123, San Antonio, TX 78204
I've been meaning to stop by this little, cute shop while I'm in the Blue Arts District. I'm happy to have finally made it out on Mother's Day. R+R Collective is a quaint shop that's part tea/coffee shop, part vintage, and part boutique shop. It's a little bit of everything all rolled and wrapped in a nice lacey bow from 1972.
I got an iced white tea while my husband got an iced coffee. Both great. We enjoyed perusing the shop while talking to the owners about traveling to Japan. There's quite a bit to see without feeling overwhelmed. And if you want to take a seat, there are tables in the back corner of the shop. I would definitely love to come back for their tea time events one day!

Middle of Nowhere Cafe & Bar
☕ 5154 Broadway, San Antonio, TX 78209
Middle of Nowhere Cafe & Bar is located inside Nowhere Bookshop. It's this nice little coffee and wine bar that's surrounded by books in a charming independent bookstore. When I stopped by, I was picking up a book I preordered and decided to grab something to drink. To my surprise, one of my childhood friends was working behind the counter! Shout out to Tony, because he made me a great iced coffee.
Besides coffee, books, and old friends, you can find a nice wine selection along with beer, kombucha, and shaken lemonades to choose from. There's also always great events at the bookstore, so grab a friend, or a book, and get lost in the middle of nowhere.
